How did the idea for Captain Fisher come about?
For years, while traveling in many countries, I found myself in great spots by the sea, without knowing anyone to tell me where to fish. Often, when leaving ports or breakwaters, I would see boats passing by and think to myself, "I'd love to go out with those fishermen." And that's how the idea was born in my head. Six years later, the app was launched.
I hold a federal spearfishing instructor's certificate and a freediving instructor's certificate from Reunion Island, and I have several fishing trips under my belt (Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Reunion Island, Mayotte, Mexico, Corsica, etc.) as well as some unofficial records (35.5 kg AMI Liche, 11.4 kg Pelamide, 14.2 kg Dentis, etc.).
And more than 40 years of fishing on and under the water, encounters, friendships, and above all, good times shared, laughter, and thousands of memories with my many fishing buddies, some of whom have become friends, more than 35 years with one thing in common: fishing...
All these elements inspired me to create the Captain Fisher mobile app, which will bring fishermen together.
